Different way to cut hair?

I don't want my hair shorter, i want it styled diffrently and the split ends and stuff come off. Like bangs... so could you please help me?

you don't mention how long your hair is currently...i went to a vidal sassoon salon and got a 'concave cut' where they cut a few layers into the hair, which gave it body, kept length and still snipped of my split ends.
