What kind of haircut/style should I get in order to camoflauge hair that is growing in from stitches

I got stiches in my head a few months ago, and had to have some hair shaved off the crown of my head. The hair is now growing back (it's about 2 inches long). The rest of my hair is long, a few inches below my shoulders. I want to start wearing my hair down again soon (I've been keeping it up in a ponytail), and was wondering what kind of haircut or style I should go for in order to let the really short hairs on top blend in? My hair is straight, if that matters ... thanks!

Maybe some short layers would help hide it, then part it far to one side, like the other poster said. Or you could put your hair in curlers, and pull the top half back in a barrette.

part your hair to the side and flip the longer hair over it, kind of like a balding man does with a comb over!
