Should I get my hair braided or twisted, how much hair do i need for both?

i guess you could say i have short hair, about and inch to an inch and a half. is this enough hair to get either of the styles.

also i had surgey and it left a line where ther's not to much hair, its not that big its kind of shinny will i be able to get the twists over it by grabbing hair from both sides annd covering it..

Braides but you will need someone who no what they are doing you might have to get extenions.....
