i know EXACTLY what you mean! i used to have the most horrible hair in middle school, it was short, curly, frizzy, dry and especially poofy, but i started to put mousse in it when it was wet and scrunch it into cute styles.some mousses don't work as well as others so i used rave 3x and a little bit of hairspray to keep flyaways from being all over the place,then just part it to the side or down the middle and it'll look great to compliment your face...you'll notice the compliments instantly with your new look

You can have short, curly hair that looks soft and in control...by using a styling gel and letting it air dry. Just scrunch it into place and go. I have seen this done on that show "what Not to Wear" on TLC. Good luck.

Mouss茅 is a curly-girl best friend. After you get out of shower take dollop-size of mouss茅 and rub it through your hair and scrunch as you go. This will define your curls/waves making it less poofy and more relaxed. Proceed blow dry for soft look or air dry then it should be more manageable!

** Tip if in morning your hair in rut, mist your hair with water then re-mouss茅 your hair and rescrunch then blowdry quickly and flip your hair back and tousle your fingers through and you got some volume and defined curls!

I know exactly how you feel. One thing you can do is put gel or conditioning cream in it after you shower, while the hair is still wet. This will make the curls tighter and less frizzy. Also, you'll want to layer your hair. This thins out the hair at the ends so it won't poof so much. Some good creams are the Brilliant Brunette or other John Frieda products--particularly the cream one. It takes away frizz and helps control the poof.
