Hair styling and make up advice for a novice?

hi everyone, i am going for a formal occasion tomorrow and want to know how to style my hair and apply basic make up at home. All i have is a blow drier, dove hair spray, concealer, lipstick and kajal. i have shoulder length wavy hair in layers that can come up in a short ponytail. please do help!

Wash your hair and dry it straight with your hair dryer. Just put consealer under your eyes, no lipstick, a litttle bit of concealer on your lips. less is always best. Have fun!

I thought a novice was a step on the way to becoming a nun. Are nuns allowed makeup and long hair now?

Well Best thing I can tell you about makeup is that LESS IS MORE, makeup should look like you're not wearing any. that is that it shoud blend and subtilely accent your natural features. you're not getting glitzed up to walk a runway or go out dancing so keep it minimal.

Your hair, just do it up like you do on a regular basis, people aren't going to be expecting major changes. Maybe find a pretty clip or a bow or something to put in it, and don't make it bulletproof w/ hardspray. I mean hairspray.

I'd do an updo with the hair and makeup needs to be minimal anyway. You don't want to look like a floozy.
